The purpose of Ikast Musikliv association is to hold an annual festival on the 3rd weekend in June, which may be the framework for musical experiences. At the same time, the festival should give local upcomings bands an opportunity to perform on a big stage in front of a larger audience. The overall purpose of Ikast Musikliv is to support the music life of Ikast-Brande Municipality and it is for this purpose that any profits must be used.
